Dear Editor,
Allow me a space in your paper, the government of the Republic of South Africa (SA) has already finalised an implementation of the program to compensate the people who fought along side the South African Territory Forces both inside South Africa and those in Namibia, who served as soldiers .
The program was brought on table by the South African government under its Ministry of Veteran’s Affairs and had clearly indicated that the program will foster for the ex-soldiers who are still alive and those who died in a war or who later died after the war, regardless of what causes the death, meaning those who died, their children or relatives should take account in registering such people, in order not to be left behind and at the same time after registering them they will have to verify with the computer system to see who is on the data base.
The program of registering these people will indicate the symbol of reconciliation and good governance for the South African government because they had managed to compensate people in South Africa without putting aside the Namibians.
In a true sense this is democracy, the South African government must be honoured for such a good move.
However, this program will uplift the Namibian economy, as the whole amount of money from the South African Reserve Bank will be transferred to the Development Bank of Namibia (DBN) to give excess to EX-SWATF members to start their projects and Small medium business enterprises, and some of these monies will be invested in the Namibian Banks at a fixed rate.
Finally, members of the South West African Teritory Force( EX-SWATF) are probably going to be better as far as life is concerned.
The other thing also is that the unemployment in Namibia is going to come to an end, since a big number of those who will receive these money will decide not to look for jobs at the same time chances will be left for the youth and the middle age groups to occupy new jobs.
I thank you, God Bless the whole South Africans and Namibians at large.
