The Namibian President, Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah on Tuesday chaired the final 2025 Cabinet meeting in Windhoek, where she reviewed national progress, thanked ministers, and outlined how government will accelerate development in 2026 through unity, coordination, and results-driven leadership.
President Nandi-Ndaitwah commended Cabinet Members many serving their first term for their humility, teamwork, and dedication throughout the year. She highlighted significant progress in job creation, food security, education, health, innovation, governance, and digital transformation, noting that all efforts remain aligned with NDP6 and the SWAPO Party Manifesto.

She stated that the SWAPO Party’s strong performance in the Regional and Local Authority Elections has reinforced government’s mandate to deliver development “with no excuses.”
The President stressed that results come from coordinated, disciplined action rather than wishful thinking.Calling for stronger collaboration between political leaders and administrators, she emphasised the importance of clear roles, constant communication, and unity of purpose. Monitoring and evaluation, she added, must be strengthened to ensure delays are detected early and national programmes achieve real impact.
She cited improvements in procurement processes particularly the recent resolution of medication supply challenges as evidence that well-coordinated strategies can successfully address long-standing issues.As the year concludes, President Nandi-Ndaitwah encouraged leaders to rest, reconnect with their families, and remain close to communities during the festive period.
The President reminded Cabinet that 2026 will demand even greater focus, urgency, and unity to deliver measurable change for all Namibians.
The Namibian President further closed the meeting by wishing all Cabinet Members a peaceful festive season and calling for renewed energy to advance government’s mission of uplifting communities and driving national development in the year ahead.
