NSFAF Chief Accountant , Ms. Eveline Anghuwo told the Prime Minister during a surprise oversight visit that NSFAF’s finance team is currently processing payments at an average rate of 1,615 students per day and is working to clear the backlog.

Eligible continuing students are set to receive full back-pay for April–July, totaling N$9,600 per student, with priority given to non-tuition allowances.

She added that payments for the first-year and newly admitted students will be processed once the institutions of higher learning submit invoices confirming registration and enrollment of the students.

“Dr Ngurare’s unannounced visit focused on monitoring daily operations and accelerating disbursements so students and institutions many of whom have been waiting for payments receive the support they need without delay.” Stressed the statement issued by the Office of the Prime Minister.
