Mr.Oscar Mulonda

By Risco Lumamezi
IN the just ended National Executive Football elections held in Windhoek recently, Mr. Oscar Mulonda the current Chairperson of the Caprivi Soccer League was appointed by Namibia Football Association as the Executive member.
The troubled Caprivi region with lack of sports facilities was blessed to have Mr. Mulonda a talented, intelligent and multi-skilled football administrator who has a passion for it serving in the Namibian soccer administration.
The controversial football administrator who has been accused by a concerned group of remote controlling the management of soccer in the Caprivi region at a distance while studying in Windhoek, the re-elected President of NFA Mr. John Munjo appointed him.
The Caprivi Vision Sport established that Mr. Mulonda’s absence in the Caprivi region has caused a stir among the football supporters fighting to oust him from the leadership but he has proved that it is only the sky, which is the limit for him in terms of football and its administration.
The man is growing from strength to strength because of his recent appointment in the Namibia Football Association (NFA) as a National Executive member.
After the recent elections held on September 11, 2010 in Katima Mulilo, which NFA labeled as unconstitutional to oust him from the Chairmanship of the Caprivi Soccer League, he has continued to shame his perpetrators.
Mr. Muinjo the current National President garnered 13 votes against his opponent Mr.Ranga Haikali who got 3 votes only.
