THE National Democratic Party (NDP) , has vowed to kickout RedForce Debt Collector immediately once elected at Katima Mulilo Local Authority on November 26, this year.
The Party’s President, Hon. Martin Lukato who is now a Member of Parliament announced on Sunday at a first-ever mass rally for NDP held in Katima Mulilo at Kamunu Hall where the party welcomed its 700 new members, and pledging sweeping reforms to address municipal debts, improve service delivery, and terminate the controversial Redforce contract at Katima Mulilo Town Council.
The announcement was made over the weekend in Katima Mulilo, where party representatives outlined their vision for the town’s future.
At the same time, Hon. Lukato also announced the candidates who will contest for the Katima Mulilo Town Council for the Local Authority Elections slated for November.
The list of candidates presented by the NDP includes:

During the announcement, the NDP emphasized that its first action in council would be to get rid of Redforce, a debt collector accused of making residents’ lives “miserable and unbelievable.”

The party further promised to write-off old municipal debts, service land before allocation, and reduce the price of prepaid electricity meters by cutting out middlemen.
The party also called for the Katima Mulilo Open Market to be restored to independent management, claiming the council’s takeover had left the market “ugly, dilapidated, and overwhelmed by sewage.”
In a stern warning, the NDP said its councilors would be held directly accountable to the party and the people, stressing zero tolerance for corruption, bribery, or unfair tendering.
“In NDP, we don’t hesitate. Unlike SWAPO, who condone corruption, we condemn it in the strongest terms,” He said.
The party concluded by urging Katima Mulilo residents to seize the opportunity to bring change through the ballot. “The power is now back in your hands. Vote for NDP councilors, and your problems shall be the story of the past,” he concluded.
