Police General lambasts police-officers to refrain from secession
By Simon Liseli
NAMPOL Inspector General, Sebastian Ndeitunga has seriously lambasted and warned members of the Namibian police on Thursday at Katima Mulilo to refrain from tribalism and secessionist activities.
This comes after the arrest of six (6) members of CCG at Liselo area on July 8, for failing to comply with laws and orders from NAMPOL officers when they were trying to conduct a public meeting with the residents of the area and other supporters outside the area.

Speaking to NAMPOL members in Katima Mulilo on Thursday July 12, 2018 during his visit to Zambezi region lieutenant general Ndeitunga said the Namibian police employed people as police officers to serve the country as patriots not to become members of CCG that plans to secede the former Caprivi region from the rest of the country.
“Some of you we have promoted you are even sympathizers or even members of CCG, these people are messing up here in Katima but you are here, you police officers and some of you are sympathizers to and tell them from here and some of you even snick cell phones in police cells for them to talk to Muyongo, you will bite the dust like them” he noted.
He added that some police officers in Zambezi region are also sympathizers of the banned United Democratic Party (UDP) which he said to be not even a political party in Namibia.
“I have promoted you not to sympathize with CCG people who want to separate Zambezi region from the rest of the country, you know them but you are also coward and betraying the nation because you cant tell us who are they among ourselves” said Inspector General.
He described lazy police officers as tribalistic who are in uniform to promote tribalism in the country, “those are not even police officers they are just tribalist because they belong to the battalion of tribalistic not in the Namibian police force” refuted Ndeitunga.
Ndeitunga encouraged police officers to work hard in order to be fruitful. He warned commanders who recommend lazy police officers for promotions to be careful of such evil situation.
“When you see members applauding like that it seems that it’s happening a lot. You are betraying the office of the inspector general as I gave you power to supervise, control, to motivate, to command and to be fair, now why should you recommend people who are lazy and some of them have criminal mentality because they are recommended based on tribe, what is that? Your days are numbered and you don’t deserve to be leaders” he remarked and questioned the Inspector General.
“I came here because of these CCG boys who are playing around here, when we opened the headquarter I told them that this is the unitary state and anybody who is advocating for secessionist in the republic of Namibia will never be allowed as it’s against the constitution and we don’t want someone who comes with nonsense of separatists trying to dismember the republic of Namibia will bite the dust, we don’t like war but we know how to fight the war and if they provoke us they will see us enough is enough now and I heard that people in the Namibian police force are supporting CCG and UDP which is a risk to the state security” he stressed.
Inspector General Sebastian Ndeitunga called on police officers who are sympathizers of Caprivi Concerned Group (CCG, UDP or Muyongo theory) to pack and get-out from the box as they don’t deserve to be in uniform and even a threat and a risk for safety and security of members of the Namibian police to have an enemy within the force.
“Am even planning to transfer people from Katima to Rehoboth, Oshana, Rundu and those who Messed- up in Rundu I will bring them here to Katima because you have became localized here” he concluded.
