DISADVANTAGED Community of Wayawaya, about 22 kilometres west of the town of Katima Mulilo received food parcels and clothes donated by Dr.Ernest Kombo of Africa Hope from Kenya on Saturday.
Africa Hope a nongovernmental organisation was founded in 2013 by Dr Kombo its main branch is based in Windhoek with aims to help the needy and put a smile on their faces.
Witnessing the ceremony at the gathering was the village headman, Induna Ben Jim and the Councillor of Sibbinda Constituency both on behalf of the community thanked Dr Kombo and his crew.
Induna Jim expressed his gratitude“ am very grateful for the donations that we received today they really helped us and I still plead with them to please come back again as most of the people here are unemployed and we are really in need’’.
The Councillor of Sibbinda Constituency Mr. Chunga Ignatius Sikalumbu commonly known as (CIS) had this to say “ We appreciate the donations that my people received , especially for targeting the marginalised people of Sibbinda Constituency’’.
This organisation saves as a miracle to the people of Wayawaya , Caprivi Vision spoke to Dr Kombo and he had this to say ‘’ we have been working hard to make sure that we put smiles on marginalised communities as it has been declared by head of state that no one should be left out and try to see how we can contribute towards what the government has been doing the government cannot do it alone they also need the support of nongovernmental organisation( NGOs)’’
Wayawaya is not the only community that the organisation will be helping in Zambezi region it is still looking for more marginalised communities that need help.
