A 24 year old Milovic Muka Siezize was convicted to a four year jail term for stealing two cattle at the Linyanti area in 2011.
Siezize was sentenced by Magistarte William Kasitomo for stock theft, without an option of paying a fine, when he made his final appearance before the Katima Mulilo Regional Court on June 2.
Siezize was in the company of David Muzweulu when they both went to grazing area at Linyanti Village where they stole two cattle with the intention of selling them off to gain money.
The cattle, belonging to Siseho Kamwi, were then taken into the kraal of Immanuel Mutelembi, whom they asked to assist by keeping them in his kraal overnight.
Kamwi recovered his cattle from Mutelembi‘s kraal after he had assisted by reporting the two suspects.
Mutelembi was the state witness who testified and gave evidence against Siezize on April 26 where he was found guilty of the crime before the Magistrate Court that later transferred the matter for sentencing in the Regional court.
Siezize conducted his own defence while the state was represented by Mr. Jatiel Mudamburi during sentencing on CR NO is 28/03/2011 and the regional court case number is RC 21 of 2012 (stock theft).
