Shoplifting a Headache to Shop owners

The Katima Mulilo Regional Court has charged N$ 500. 00 to a minor for stealing 3 pairs of shoes at Mr. Price Shop in Katima Mulilo.

On Sunday June 1, 2014 at around 11:34 at Mr. Price a 17 year old boy whose name is with held as a minor from Kazauli Village was caught red handed with three pairs of shoes around his waist by the security officer who was on duty at Mr. Price.
“I was performing my normal duties as security officer to search everyone exiting the shop so got three pairs of shoes around his waist” a certain security officer told the court.
The value of the shoes is N$ 340.00 the accused was arrested on June 1, and he appeared before the court and was found guilty of theft and charged with a fine of N$ 500.00 .
The state was represented by the Regional Court Magistrate Mr. William Kasitomo while Mr. Jatiel Mundamburi represented as a state prosecutor; his case no is CR/07/06/2014.
