President Nandi-Ndaitwah Appoints Zaamwani as Minister of Agriculture

Hon . Ingenesia Inge Zaamwani , Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Land Reform

PRESIDENT Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has appointed Ingenesia Inge Zaamwani as Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Land Reform on Wednesday.

Honourable Zaamwani has replaced the former Minister Dr. Mac-Albert Hengari who was relieved from his duties as Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Land Reform on Sunday April 24, 2025.

” Honourable Zaamwani brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the Ministry, having served in various key capacities in mining, financial services and government.” said the statement.

Zaamwani served as Managing Director of Namdeb, Chairperson of First National Bank of Namibia and other companies in the mining sector, among others. She also served as Special Advisor in the new 8th administration to the President on Constitutional Affairs and Private Sector Interface , and in the former administration for the late Hage Geingob.

According to the statement from the Namibian presidency, the newly appointed Minister of Agriculture ,Fisheries, Water and Land Reform clarified that “With her wealth of administrative, industry and leadership experience, President Nandi-Ndaitwah believes that Honourable Zaamwani will unlock opportunities for value-addition, job creation and food security in the sectors under her portfolio.”
