Police officer and 3-men in court for murder

A police officer and three (3) police reservists’ of Cowboy location in Katima Mulilo made their first brief appearance before the Katima Mulilo district court magistrate Vincent Nzaca, charged with murder.  

The accused suspects Mr. Lucky Joba Kasale (24) a member of the Namibian police force with other three community police members Mr. Roger Simataa Mulibawa (43), Mr. Alfred Nyambe Mubiana (43) and Ernest Matengu Matengu (38) appeared in court on Monday January 8, 2018 facing charges of murder. All accused suspects are Namibian citizens.

The above accused suspects allegedly killed the deceased Mr. Nyambe to have stolen a cell phone and interrogated the deceased while beating him with shot buttons resulting to his death in Cow Boy location.

The matter was immediately reported to the police leading to the arrest of the accused persons.

The accused suspects were arrested on 6 January 2018 in Cowboy location. Their case is filed under CR 51/01/2018 and was remanded to 2 May 2018 for further police investigations.

During their appearance public prosecutor Ms. Diana Khama adviced accused persons to apply for bail applications because no bail was recommended by court and were all remanded in police custody till their next appearance.
