The Namibian Police in the Zambezi Region have re-arrested five escapees who broke out of the Ngoma Police Cell on December 7, 2025.
Zambezi Regional Police Commissioner Andreas Shilelo confirmed to Caprivi Vision that Joseph Munalula, Simasiku Sikwezi, Mushe Simasiku, Moonga Kahiyata, and Kwalela Namushi were rearrested at the villages of Kabulabula, Ihaha and Nakabolelwa in the Kabbe South Constituency, South-East of Zambezi Region.
Commissioner Shilelo is also appealing to the community to report the whereabouts of the other two escapees, Zambian nationals Mainga Kunyanda and Makai Samutela, who are still at large.
The fugitives were all trial-awaiting inmates facing charges ranging from rape and drug possession to murder and housebreaking.
