Namibia swears in first female president

Namibia has sworn-in it’s first-ever female president on Friday March 21, 2025 while celebrating it’s 35th independence anniversary.

Dr.Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah (72) , was sworn in as the 5th president of Namibia following her 2024 election victory with 57 percentage presidential vote.

During her inauguration, President Nandi-Ndaitwah promised to serve all Namibians despite their political affiliations.

Unemployment , socio-economic challenges and making universal health, education and training and tackle corruption are some of the key priorities during her administration for the next five years.

World leaders such as the current and former heads of states witnessed the inauguration , which was held at the state house in Windhoek.
