Man Drowns trying to Cross Stream At Ngoma

NGOMA — A Zambian man drowned on Thursday, 3 September 2026, while trying to swim across a stream at Tukona fishing camp, Ioma village, near Ngoma.
Police say the man was crossing the stream with a companion when he ran into difficulty in the water and went under. His body was recovered the following day, 4 September.

Next of kin in Zambia have not yet been informed. An inquest into the drowning has been opened.
