A-45-year-old Namibian national Mr. Jose Paulus Masaka was last week Friday, October 21,2022 stabbed with a piece of a broken bottle and died shortly upon his arrival at Katima Mulilo State Hospital.
This unfortunate incident happened on Friday at around 23H30 at Infinity Bar (Nighty Club) in Katima Mulilo.
Zambezi police spokesperson, Inspector Kisco Sitali confirmed this incident.
Allegations are that the deceased was stabbed with a piece of a broken bottle on his left arm and was rushed to Katima hospital where he died shortly upon arrival.
According to police crime report, the deceased and the accused suspect who has been identified as Mr. Sioka Abraham Matengu Elias Lukoke, a Namibian citizen, age unknown were drinking together at the Infinity Nighty Club where an argument broke- out between the suspect’s girl friend and the deceased, as they were arguing the suspect tried to advice the deceased not to argue with his girlfriend.
Argument continued leading to the suspect stabbing the deceased with a broken piece of a bottle.
No arrest has been made so far, as the suspect fled the scene after committing the crime and police investigations continues in the matter.
The case is filed under CR 197/10/2022 of Katima Mulilo police station and the suspect faces an offence of murder.
