A 50 year old police officer Mr. Mazila Mulwani Chrispin, has been found guilty of negligent driving by a Katima Mulilo Magistrate.
Mr. Mazila has since been fined N$2500 or a year in prison for the offence.
It is believed that upon or about the 10th of December 2008 near Kongola, Sangwali in the district of Katima Mulilo, the accused did wrongfully and unlawfully drive a motor vehicle with registration number N87338W negligently.
In the case of driving recklessly, the perpetrator shall be liable to a fine not exceeding N$8 000 or to imprisonment for a period not exceeding two years or both such fine and such imprisonment. The police officer was based at Omega.
