Mafwe Chief , Litunga Goerge Simasiku Mamili VII has honoured President Netumbo Nandi-Nadaitwah with a gift of Handcrafted Furniture madeout of wood caved material a dinning set consists of a table and six chairs.
This gift was presented to the president and her spouse the first gentleman retired army general Apafras Denga Nditwah during the Heroes Day commemoration in Katima Mulilo on 26 August 2025.
Chief Mamili VII of the Mafwe Traditional Authority a handcrafted table and chairs as a gesture of appreciation.
The beautifully carved furniture, engraved with words of welcome and identity of the Mafwe Royal Establishment with an emblem displaying elephant which symbolized the Mafwe Community’s gratitude for the President’s continued support of community initiatives and traditional leadership.
The event underscored the significance of Heroes Day, not only as a moment to remember the sacrifices of the past, but also as a platform to celebrate the values of respect, unity, and nation-building.
In conclusion, by presenting the handcrafted table and chairs, Chief Mamili and the Mafwe people reaffirmed their commitment to national unity, demonstrating that tradition remains a vital part of Namibia’s collective journey onward.
