Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Land Reform, Hon. Inge Zaamwani, has officially handed over allotment letters to nine generational farm workers from the Omaheke Region on Tuesday.
Omaheke Governor , Hon.Pijoo Nganate witnessed the handover ceremony that took place at the Ministry’s Head Office in Windhoek, where the beneficiaries were received their allotment letters.
Speaking during the handover ceremony, the Lands Minister emphasized the importance of productive and sustainable land use.
Hon. Zaamwani urged the beneficiaries as well as the newly resettled farmers to utilize the land responsibly in order to contribute to national food security and rural development.

The beneficiaries have served as farm workers for over thirty years , without having their own land.
