Kizito and Caprivi hostels receive mattresses from Namibian-Newspaper

TWO Senior Secondary Schools in the town of Katima Mulilo who will accommodate football players from 13 regions of Namibia, have received new mattresses from the Namibian newspaper on Tuesday.

Saint Kizito College and Hostel received 250 mattresses and Caprivi Senior Secondary School received 500 mattresses, this was received by Zambezi Regional Governor Lawrence Sampofu on behalf of the recipient Schools.

Mr. Hofney Kanandjembo the circulation and operation manager of the Namibian Newspaper handed over the total of 750 new mattresses to Kizito and CSSS received by governor Sampofu at Caprivi Senior Secondary School premises.

Mr. Kanandjembo emphasised the reason of the donation “The mattresses will be used by players coming for the newspaper cup tournament who will be accommodated by the two schools, after the tournament the mattresses will permanently belong to the two schools, Kizito will receive 250 mattresses and CSSS 500” he said.

Mr. Vincent Sinyepe, Superintendent at Caprivi Senior Secondary School(CSSS) thanked The Namibian Newspaper for their donations “thanks very much on behalf of Caprivi Senior Secondary School we appreciate receiving the mattresses from The Namibian we have been having problems , our mattresses are small and very old, now that we have received new ones we really appreciate. I know the parents and the children themselves will be very happy”.

The Namibian Newspaper Cup tournament will kick-off this week on the public holiday Good Friday, 30 March and will finish on 2 April 2018 on Easter Monday next week.
