KINGFISHER Football Club has been crowned the 2013 Sanlam Easter Cup Champions after defeating Black Hawks one (1) nil (0) in the final held at the just ended Easter Cup Tournament in Katima Mulilo. 
Kingfisher won the tournament(for the second time in 3 years) with a floating trophy which is traditionally held every year during the Easter break period after overcoming fellow rivals Black Buffalo 4-1 in the semis, while Black Hawks had earned their way into the final by beating Bush Bucks 3 goals to 1 in the other semi final match.
Bush Bucks though had to be content with 3rd prize after they had convincingly thrashed Black Buffalo 7-1 in the 3rd place play-off match.
The Champions Kingfisher, were laughing all the way to the bank after collecting the first prize money of N$12 000, while runners up Black Hawks received an amount of N$5 000 while 3rd place play-off winners Bush Bucks received N$ 2500 and N$1500 was given to Black Buffalo as the 4th place winner.
