Katima Mulilo Police Chief in Court for theft

 Chief Inspector Frederick Nalisa (50) was arrested last month for alleged theft and has since appeared in court where he was released on N$2000 bail.

A case of theft was opened under case number A276/2012 in Katima Mulilo, cr number 63/8/2012.

Chief Inspector Nalisa was nabbed on August 16 for allegedly stealing from the police safe.

The police chief was the only person who had access to the safe keys.

As part of his bail conditions Chief Inspector Nalisa was ordered to surrender all his travel documents, not to interfere with police investigations or visit the Katima Mulilo Police Station as well as leave the town and the  country without knowledge of the investigating officer.

Chief Inspector Nalisa is set to make his next court appearance on January 21,2013.

Caprivi Vision spoke to a reliable source from Anti Corruption Commission regarding Mr. Nalisa`s case and the source was able to confirm that the ACC were aware of the case but could not give out any information to the media as investigations were still going on.
