Katima Mulilo Town Council (KMTC) lost two computers and one monitor worth N$ 30 000 on Sunday night April 11, 2021 after an unknown person broke into the cash hall and stealing items.

Public Relations Officer for Katima Council, Mr. Crispin Muyoba Muyoba confirmed to Caprivi Vision that the town council’s cash hall was damaged on Sunday night at unknown time but could not explain more on what happened saying he was at his home when it happened.
“My brother I can’t tell because I don’t know what happened since I was at home when it happened” said the PRO.
He reminded the residents of Katima Mulilo that the selling of water has resumed at the council.
A case of house breaking was opened with the Katima Mulilo Police Station.
Inspector Kisco Sitali of the Namibian police at Katima Mulilo also confirmed the crime of house breaking with intent to steal and theft on Sunday night, 11 April 2021 at unknown time at Katima Mulilo Town Council.
According to Inspector Sitali, the suspect used unknown object to break the door of the cash hall to gain entrance, and stole the properties.
“We have recorded that case its CR NO: 89/04/2021 and our investigations are ongoing” he said.
