DBN donates N$100,000 to van der Walt School

THE Development Bank of Namibia (DBN) , has donated a tune of N$100,000 to Ben van der Walt Primary School in Gobabis on Friday.

The donation is part of its Corporate Social Investment (CSI), in ploughing  back to the community which is aimed at enhancing educational resources and supporting the ongoing development initiatives at the school.

Mr Jerome Mutumba, Chief Marketing & Corporate Affairs Officer at DBN , handed over the donation to the beneficiary , and  highlighted the commitment of the DBN to investing in quality education.

The funds will be utilized to improve learning facilities, upgrade teaching materials, and implement programs that directly benefit the students and community.

Mr Mutumba stressed that “We are delighted to support Ben van der Walt Primary School in its mission to provide a nurturing and resourceful learning environment”

He however added that  the contribution is part of Bank’s broader commitment to fostering educational excellence and community development in the Omaheke region.

The school principal, Ms. Magdalena Muhinda, expressed sincere gratitude for the generous donation, in emphasizing the positive impact it will have on the school’s infrastructure and the overall quality of education offered to the students.
