THE Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) , has arrested an employee of Zambezi Regional Council, and two contractors over N$4 million tender supply of drought relief food on Wednesday.
ACC stated on the statement that a Zambezi Regional Council employee and two accomplices were arrested by the Anti-Corruption Commission in connection with a drought relief food supply scheme.
“It is alleged that the regional council staff member conspired with the two private individuals to defraud the government, leading to it disbursing over N$4 million for drought relief food supplies that were never delivered”.
ACC further explained that” Further details about the case will be released at a later stage.”
