Namibia Breweries Limited (NBL) on Tuesday, in Windhoek, announced its partnership with Cricket Namibia as the official drinks partner to promote sports, unity, responsible consumption, and national pride among Namibians.
The new collaboration marks NBL’s return to cricket sponsorship, having previously supported the national team under its Richelieu brand. The partnership aims to strengthen community spirit, celebrate local talent, and inspire pride through sports.
Speaking at the announcement, NBL Managing Director Waldemar von Lieres expressed excitement over the partnership, emphasizing that the move goes beyond cricket. “This partnership is about celebrating what it means to be Namibian uniting communities and creating unforgettable experiences while promoting responsible enjoyment,” he said.
Cricket Namibia, currently ranked fifth among ICC Associate Member nations, welcomed the partnership as a boost to the growth and enthusiasm surrounding Namibian cricket.

As part of the partnership, NBL will offer water stations and promote non-alcoholic beverages such as Windhoek Non-Alc, Windhoek Lemon, Heineken 0.0, and Savanna 0.0 at matches to encourage safe and inclusive celebrations.
