Kongola Constituency Councillor, Mr. Bennet Likukela Bushihu, who is seeking for his second term in office , pledged to continue transforming Kongola Settlement into a fully developed town through infrastructure upgrades, youth empowerment, and transparent governance.

Speaking at Kongola, during the launch of his Election Manifesto on Sunday ,  Councillor Bushihu , an Independent Candidate reaffirmed that Namibia is governed by the Supreme Law, the Constitution which grants every citizen the right to participate in political activities. He cited Article 17 of the Namibian Constitution, which allows individuals to vote and stand for public office once they reach the required age.

He added that plans are underway to construct an administrative office, improve sewerage systems, and upgrade local roads.

Hon. Bushihu also highlighted efforts to empower young people, noting the success of the Kamenga Bonanza 1968 Cup, a local soccer tournament aimed at discovering and nurturing young talent.

“This year marks the fourth year we are hosting this event. We want Kongola to be recognized as an area of bravery and excellence,” he added.

Councillor Bushihu concluded by urging residents to remain united and committed to development, assuring them that his leadership would continue to prioritize progress, accountability, and opportunities for all. His message of dedication and growth resonated with many, as Kongola strives to become a model town in the Zambezi Region.
