The Electoral Commission of Namibia in Zambezi region, is ready to conduct the first special voting on November 23, and normal voting on 26 November 2025.
This was announced by Ms. Mwaka Simasiku, Returning Officer for Katima Mulilo Local Authority during the engagement meeting with the stakeholders on Monday in Katima Mulilo.
Ms. Simasiku, pointed out that the deployment and demobilization of polling teams will be done as follows “First deployment for our special voting for all constituencies will be done on the 21th November 2025.” She said.
For the collection of non-sensitive materials for special voting, it will be conducted on 21 November. The deployment schedule is as follows: Kongola from 08h00-09h00, Judea Lyamboloma from 08h00-09h00, Linyanti from 09h00-10h00, Kabbe South from 10h00-11h00, Kabbe North from 11h00-12h00, Sibbinda from 12h00-13h00, Katima Rural from 13h00-14h00, and Katima Urban from 14h00-15h00.
Deployment of Normal Voting
The Normal voting deployment will be done on the 24th of November in the same sequence with Kongola as the first constituency followed with the rest of the constituencies respectively.
Katima Urban deployment will be done on the 25th of November starting from 09h00 – 10h00.
The collection of non-sensitive materials will be done at the LA hall (Old Legislative Assembly Hall), while the collection of sensitive materials will be done at the Zambezi Regional Police Headquarters.
Simasiku further alluded that the demobilization of teams will be based on first come, first save.
