Veteran journalist and former editor of the Namibian Sun newspaper, Mr Toivo Ndjebela, has been appointed Deputy Executive Director in the Office of the Prime Minister with effect from 1 October 2026.
Cabinet Secretary Emilia Mkusa announced the appointment on Friday.
Ndjebela will serve in the Prime Minister’s Bureau.
Meanwhile, Amb. Mkusa has also appointed Petrus Sindimba, Executive Director of the Cabinet Secretariat, as Acting Accounting Officer for Vote 2 in the Office of the Prime Minister.
Sindimba assumes the functions and full responsibilities of the role from 1 October to 31 December 2026.
