THE Namibian President Dr. Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah , has urged Namibians to turn out in high numbers , vote peacefully and uphold democratic value that unite the nation in the Regional Councils and Local Authorities Elections slated for tomorrow.
According to the media statement , the Presidency wishes to inform the public and members of the media that tomorrow, 26 November 2025, is Election Day in Namibia. As the nation prepares to exercise its democratic right, Her Excellency Dr. Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, will lead by example as the First Citizen.
The President is expected to cast her vote at Emma Hoogenhout Primary School in Hochland Park, Windhoek, anytime from 07h00, when polling stations officially open.
Election Day for the Regional Council and Local Authority Elections was declared as a public holiday.
“The Presidency encourages all eligible voters not to take this day for granted or simply stay home, but to use the opportunity to participate fully in shaping their local and regional leadership” stressed the statement.
However, the public is reminded to vote only in the constituencies where they are registered, in line with the electoral requirements.
