Paratus Namibia Sponsors Cycle Classic for Third Consecutive Year

Paratus Namibia, a telecommunications and network services provider has announced its continued sponsorship of the Paratus Namibian Cycle Classic, with the tune of N$260,000.00.

This is one of its highlight on the Namibian sporting calendar since its inception in 1999.

This year’s event is organised by the Rotary Club Windhoek, it will take place on Saturday 05 October and Sunday 06 October 2024 and promises another round of competitive cycling and family-oriented fun.

The Paratus Namibian Cycle Classic is recognised as one of Namibia’s premier outdoor recreational events and is a community service and fundraising initiative by the Rotary Club Windhoek.

The proceeds from sponsorships and participant entry fees are dedicated to numerous community projects and charitable causes across Namibia.  

Funds raised last year were donated to various initiatives and infrastructure projects in the Khomas and Kavango regions.  Additionally, a garden project was initiated in the south and the construction of boys’ and girls’ toilets at a school hostel was funded.

Participants in the Namibian Cycle Classic can look forward to individual timing, finisher medals, leader boards, prizes and a fully supported course.  Family entertainment and refreshment stations will be available throughout the event, making it a perfect outing for cycling enthusiasts and their families. All cycling races will start and end at the Doc Jubber Sportsground in Olympia, ensuring a central and accessible location for all participants and spectators.

  • Mountain bike races catering to beginners, intermediate, and advanced cyclists across three distance categories
  • Kiddies Classic for toddlers and young children
• Sunday, 06 October:
  • Road bike races, divided into four distance categories
