PDK to hit Katima by one night-stand

By STAFF REPORTER

THE Trio Kwaito winning award, PDK of the Omalaeti hitmakers, Patrick ,Deon and Kamutonyo will set Katima Mulilo alight for the first time in their ten year career of making hit after hit in Namibian music stream.

In a press release issued by Omalaeti Music, The youthful trio still riding on the success of their latest album ‘Moko’ will take their dancing energy and popular gems to the North East this Friday at LA Hall.

“It’s not just a show, it is the ONLY show, a one night stand with Katima Mulilo,” emphasized Dion, before adding, “We have had a lot of invites this year, every week-end we are out but we chose to hit Katima now because we have always wanted to visit our fans in that part of the country, and they must come witness what they have been hearing about us.”

This came after the group performed in Walvis Bay and Windhoek on one night last Saturday.

“Yes, we finished rocking the fish consumption in Walvis Bay and were wanted at the /ae /gams festival in Windhoek that same time. We don’t feel well if we let down our fans, so we had to do it,” says Kamutonyo, speaking about the 400km difference between the two towns.

But for Katima, the Dirty Kandeshi hitmakers will not feel the pains of driving the long journey as their Omalaeti handlers have made sure the trio use air transport.

“Ya, we will land in Katima on Friday mid-day and by midnight our fans will be satisfied. We are going to drop all the hits from all our previous nine albums. It’s going to be hot in Katima. It’s not only for those who love to party, families can also come, there is tight security and the environment will be conducive for the young and old,” said Patrick.

By public demand, PDK says they have been re-called back to Walvis Bay on the 21 st of this month for another full one night stand at Kuiseb Hall.

“When we performed at the Fish Consumption, it was just for 30minutes as we had to give room to other artists who were booked, but this time on the 21st, it will just be us until the early morning. Expect high energy at the Kuiseb Hall. There is nothing strange about PDK doing multiple shows in one night, On Heroes Day we performed in three towns in one night, first we hit Omuthiya then we drove to Outapi to perform at Olufuko before storming Miss Unam at Ogongo and our fans are always left asking for more,” said Kamutonyo.
