Namibian Beef Secures Spot on German Menus

Namibian beef will be served at Block House restaurants across Germany starting 20 September 2025, following a landmark agreement between Namibian producers, South Trade GmbH, and Eugen Block Holding GmbH.

Namibian beef, globally recognized for its free-range, grass-fed, and sustainable production, will debut as a monthly rump steak special across 42 Block House outlets in Germany.

Ms. Catherine Shipushu ,Senior Manager: Marketing, Branding & Communications at Namibia Investment Promotion and Development Board (NIPDB said that the deal was facilitated with support from the Namibia Investment Promotion and Development Board (NIPDB), which continues to champion Namibian exports in global markets.

Namibia is currently the only African nation authorized to export beef to both Europe and the United States, underscoring the country’s strict production standards and international reputation for food safety and quality.

Valentin Külbs, Managing Director of South Trade GmbH, said Namibian beef offers more than taste it represents sustainability, high animal welfare, and trusted farming practices.

Markus Gutendorff, CEO of Block House Restaurant betriebe AG, said their brand constantly seeks unique offerings, and Namibian beef fits perfectly with their commitment to premium dining experiences.
The introduction of Namibian beef to Block House menus is expected to boost Namibia’s agricultural exports, create opportunities for local farmers and processors, and strengthen the country’s image as a supplier of trusted, high-quality products.
From 20 September 2025, German diners will enjoy authentic farm-to-table Namibian beef, a milestone that blends Namibia’s agricultural heritage with Europe’s demand for premium-quality steak.
